Servals is a post-hardcore/post-punk band based in Hilversum, inspired by bands like Fugazi, Slint, Drive Like Jehu, At the Drive-In and Sonic Youth. We play dual guitar driven music spanning between melancholic melody and walls of noise, often within the same song.
Carlos and Aris had been playing together for years when Ralph joined after meeting Aris at a local jam session. There was an immediate creative click, with Carlos’ arpeggios and midwest emo leanings complementing Ralph’s more noise rock and post-punk inspired riffs and the strong interaction with Aris’ drumming. Later, Stefan joined on bass, right on time to complete the line up for the debut show at Planespotting DIY Music Fest in 2022. We’re continuously writing more, playing more and recording demos aiming to record an EP and play more shows.
